What's included
Warmth and quiet in a room full of hard surfaces
The felt behind the battens is what absorbs the sound — a slat panel on a solid backing looks identical and does almost nothing. It is the part that gets skipped, and the reason cheap slat walls disappoint.
- Acoustic felt backing. The part that does the acoustic work, not the decorative part.
- Real wood veneers. Oak, walnut and smoked finishes, plus painted MDF where budget is tighter.
- Even batten spacing. Set out so the spacing lands evenly rather than cutting a slat in half at the corner.
- Scribed around obstacles. Sockets, switches, doors and columns cut around properly.
- Integrated LED. Lighting behind or between the slats, wired and switched.
- Matching trims. Top, bottom and corner profiles so the wall reads as joinery.
